Australian-bred industrial hemp genetics, built on three decades of breeding.
Australian-bred industrial hemp genetics, built on three decades of breeding.
From the first selections made in 1996 to a modern, registered seed bank serving growers across Australia and abroad — Hemp Farms Australia is a Queensland-based agribusiness committed to genetics that perform.
Hemp Farms Australia (HFA) is an Australian leader in hemp seed genetics, combining over twenty years of traditional breeding, data-driven selection, and deep agribusiness knowledge to supply premium registered industrial cannabis genetics suited to sub-tropical climates.
From our base of operations in Queensland, HFA focuses on mainland Australia — providing high-quality, reliable, registered industrial cannabis seed to farmers cultivating for grain, fibre, and dual-purpose harvests. Our varieties have been developed and selected over two decades, adjusted to the conditions required to thrive on this continent.
By combining traditional breeding with genomic-supported data, we continuously improve current varieties and discover new hybrids altogether. It is patient, methodical work — and it is how an industry is built.
What we do
Three pillars, one commitment.
From genetics through to agronomy and remediation, our work spans the full value chain of industrial hemp in Australia.

What we do
Built by two operators, not a boardroom.
Since 2013, Harrisson and Lauchlan have immersed themselves into every facet this plant has to offer — from large-scale industrial operations to advanced indoor phenotype selection. Together they have built HFA and MáGenetik, two cannabis genetics outfits that helped Australia’s mainland hemp industry transition from plot-farming to commercial cropping.
